The Pakistan People’s Party did not come to power through the back door. The party and its leadership firmly believe in the power of the vote of the people. So there is no question of the PPP striking a deal with General Musharraf. Such news items are false and utterly baseless.
Mohrtarma Benazir’s career has been a constant struggle for the betterment of the lot of the people of Pakistan; restoration of democracy has been her prime undertaking.
Is it not true that the charges framed against her are false and baseless. The recent Supreme Court’s decision is an eye opener. Her constant strivings for the betterment of the downtrodden masses cannot be termed as pursuit of greed nor are they aimed at accumulating wealth. She will serve the country again because she represents the masses.
Will Dr. Masood Haider refresh his memory and concede that Benazir came to power as a result of fair and free polls twice. She enjoyed the popular support of the masses.

Benazir Bhutto is the only political leader in Pakistan who has lost a father and two brothers in the struggle for democracy. She is still paying the price for her political views and struggle for democracy: her husband has been behind the bars without any justification whatsoever for the last five years. Till now not even one case has been proved against him.
Benazir is keeping her father’s tradition alive by refusing to grab power through the back door and making a sustained effort to be voted by the masses into power. She is different from Nawaz Sharif and his likes.
As for her wealth , if she has looted and plundered, why has she been not found guilty or sentenced for the alleged pillage? The Supreme Court is free and all courts are free too to decide her case.
