Pakistan & Income Tax
Tariq Ishaq Bhatty, Subic Bay, Zm, PhilippinesI am an American citizen born in Pakistan. Considering the country’s situation when he took power, the General has done a good job. Granted the progress has been slow, but you can’t change things overnight. We need to give him a chance. He has worked hard to make people realize that paying income tax is in their own interest and would enable the government to offer them necessary services in return. Yes! He needs to make sure that the taxes are spent on rendering services and don’t find their way to the collectors’ pockets. I pay 33% of my income as taxes but I know that my money is well spent on the community and I am conscious of the services I enjoy.
Pakistan is going through the most critical period since its creation and I would request all parties to support the present Govt. policies and hopefully we all will witness wholesome changes in the next two years.
I visit Pakistan at least seven times a year on business assignments and hope to see stable conditions so that my company too can contribute to the IT policy of the Pakistani Government.
