Urdu and Bengali Literature

It is a great pleasure to see that you are serving the cause of your country and your people through the publication of .Pakistan Link. I congratulate you and express my heartfelt gratitude to you for engaging in such a noble cause. I honestly and sincerely believe that it is a sacred duty and responsibility of all Pakistani and Bangladeshi people to try to promote their own language, literature, and culture in the United. States. As a Bangladeshi, I am doing my part (in my humble way) to promote Bengali language and literature in the United States.

As you are aware, there are not too many people among Western scholars and intellectuals who are interested in the Muslim component of Urdu and Bengali literature. It is with great pleasure and pride I would like to introduce you to Professor Gerald J. Larson of Indiana University, Bloomington who has expressed his willingness to establish studies of Urdu and Bengali language and literature at his University. I understand that he needs some financial support to accomplish his goals.
