David Miliband to arrive tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: British Foreign Secretary David Miliband will arrive in Pakistan tomorrow (Wednesday) on a day-long visit to discuss regional security with the Pakistani leadership. Miliband will discuss bilateral relations and security, particularly in Afghanistan, with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilnai and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi. Miliband will also discuss UK-Pak defence relations with Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Kayani. It will be Miliband’s second visit to Pakistan in the last six months. He first visited Islamabad in April. The two sides will also review the progress of the ‘Friends of Democratic Pakistan’ forum. sajjad malik
