Nawaz, Qazi and Aitzaz obtain nomination papersLAHORE: The returning officers in Lahore on Thursday have issued more than 252 nomination papers to national and provincial assemblies’ candidates including Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Kulsoom Nawaz, and Supreme Court Bar Association President Aitzaz Ahsan.
Qazi Hussain Ahmad, president of the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), obtained his nomination papers for NA-5 Nowshera, which is his native town. PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif got nomination papers for NA-120, Shahbaz Sharif for NA-119, PP-141 and PP-142, Kulsoom Nawaz for NA-123. Rai Hamad received forms for the Sharif family. Other politicians who got nomination papers include Jehangir Badr for NA-120, Aitzaz Ahsan for NA-124, Humayun Akhtar for NA-124, Hamza Shahbaz for NA-119, PP-141 and PP-142, Sheikh Rohail Asghar for NA-124, Azizur Rehman Chan for NA-123, Samina Khalid Ghurki for NA-130 and Akhlaq Ahmad Guddu for NA-123. staff report
