US team talks ROZ in Swabi
SWABI: A US delegation discussed the establishment of the Reconstruction Opportunity Zone (ROZ) Gadoon Amazai Industrial Estate (GAIE) during a visit here on Tuesday. Commerce Ministry Joint Secretary Jamshed Khan accompanied the three-member US delegation. The delegation held talks with members of the Gadoon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and visited the Sarhad Development Authority and industrial units at the Gadoon Estate. Delegation members said the agreement for the ROZ would be drafted for 15 years, but could be renewed. They said a bill had been introduced in the US Senate and would be tabled before the House of Representatives soon. The delegation said all ROZ-related activities would gain momentum after Congress passed the bill. staff report
