Imam-e-Kaaba
arrives in Lahore
LAHORE:
Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Abdur Rehman Al-Sudais on Tuesday has arrived in
Punjab capital on the first leg of one-week visit.
A large number of dignitaries including
Governor Punjab Khalid Maqbool, Chief Minister Pervez Ellahi, PML President
Chaudhry Shujaat, Mushahid Hussian, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs
Ejaz-ul-Haq and other federal ministers and provincial ministers were
present at the Lahore airport to receive the Imam-e-Kaaba.
MMA leader and senator Sajid Mir, the
ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan and high government officials
were also present.
A warm welcome was accorded to the Imam-e-Kaaba.
The security was beefed up on this occasion.
The Lahore roads were adorned with
buntings, boards and banners as part arrangements to accord red carpet
welcome to Sheikh Abdur Rehman Al-Sudais.
