Sindh Rangers back to pre-12 May locations
KARACHI:
The additional troops of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh), which were called
to handle the post-12 May situation in Karachi, went back to their
pre-12 May positions after restoration of peace in the city.
This was announced in a statement of Pakistan Rangers
Sindh, here on Monday. It said that the troops of Sindh Rangers started
pulling back from various parts of the city on the morning Monday.
Covering various routes of the city, they all converged
on Shahid Shaheed Park, North Nazimabad, where the whole convoy was
seen off from Karachi.
The statement further mentioned that troops of Pakistan
Rangers (Sindh) were tasked at 1700 hours on 12 May to take control
of the situation in the aftermath of 12 May incidents.
Since situation has returned to the normal in
Karachi city, therefore, additional troops of Sindh Rangers have reverted
back to their pre-12 May locations, the statement added.
