Ambassadors discuss bilateral relations with Senate Chairman

ISLAMABAD May 28 : The Ambassador of Italy, Dr. Robarto Mazzotta, Ambassador of Brazil, Fausto M. Godoy and Ambassador of Croatia, Karnaj Komol separately called on Chairman Senate Mohammad Mian Soomro at his chamber in the Parliament House here on Saturday.

During the meting, matters of mutual interest, bilateral relations and promotion of parliamentary cooperation were discussed.

Chairman Senate referred to the recent visit of Senate delegation to Italy and stated that during its visit the delegation discussed various aspects of Pakistan-Italy bilateral relations with Italian leadership. He said that it was first-ever visit of Pakistan’s Parliamentary delegation to Italy and expressed optimism that it would go a long way to further enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields.

He thanked the President of Italian Chamber of Deputies and the President of Italian Senate for extending warm hospitality to the Pakistan Senate delegation.

The Italian Ambassador said that formation of Pakistan-Italy Parliamentary Friendship Group would pave the way for strengthening bilateral cooperation various fields. There is vast scope to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries especially in cultural and tourism fields, added the Italian envoy.

The Brazilian Ambassador, Fausto M. Godoy paid a courtesy call on the Chairman Senate. The Chairman Senate expressed the hope that Pak-Brazil bilateral relations would further promote during the tenure of the Ambassador. The Brazilian envoy stated that promotion of bilateral ties and strengthening o parliamentary cooperation between the two countries in various fields would figure in his top priorities.

The Ambassador of Croatia, Marjan Komol also called on the Chairman Senate in his Chamber and discussed matters of mutual interest and promotion of parliamentary cooperation between the two countries. Chairman Senate underlined the need of more exchanges of the visits at various levels between the two countries.
