Army to live up to nation’s expectations: COAS

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani said on Sunday that Pakistan Army would always live up to the expectations of the nation. Addressing a reception he hosted in the honour of retired army officers at Army Auditorium as part of Pakistan Day celebrations, Gen Kayani touched on key issues relating to environment, challenges and way forward. According to the ISPR, the COAS mixed with retired officers and exchanged views with them. A large number of retired and serving officers attended the reception. The COAS gave a succinct resume of various issues relating to army. He also threw light on various steps being taken as part of the ‘Year of the Soldier’. staff report
