MQM and PPP working on co-operation in Senate: Ghauri
ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Senator Babar Ghauri said on Sunday that his party was working on a co-operation agreement with the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in the Senate. “The party has assigned me to talk to Raza Rabbani in this regard,” he added. He said that his party had extended support to the PPP to strengthen democracy. He confirmed that his party’s decision to sit in the opposition was still intact. “The MQM co-ordination committee will decide if it will support the removal of Article 58(2b) and the impeachment of President [Pervez] Musharraf,” he added. staff report
