Allocation of portfolios after PM’s nomination: Sherry
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Information Secretary Sherry Rehman told the media on Tuesday that the cabinet portfolios would be decided after the government had finalised its candidate for the premiership slot. She said the coalition government would divide the ministries amongst themselves according to their parliamentary strength. “We sincerely want to continue this working relationship between the coalition partners ... the country needs stability. Today’s development is very significant and will augur well in the country’s future,” she added. On a question about contacts with the newly elected members of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), Sherry said the PPP would definitely approach them in “the next stage” for the formation of government. staff report
