Benazir murder case: remand of accused extended to April 21
RAWALPINDI: The special court served last warning to five culprits including Baitullah Mehsud to appear before court hearing Benazir Bhutto murder case. On this occasion, the court extended the judicial remand of the other five arrested accused to April 21. Five accused Rifaqat, Hasnain, Aitezaz Shah, Sher Zaman and Abdur Rashid were presented in the special Anti-Terrorism Court-1 in Rawalpindi on Tuesday morning. The accused could not be charged and later on they were shifted to Adiala jail. The ATC directed to issue a notice to the accomplices in the murder of Benazir Bhutto—Baitullah Mehsud, Abdullah, Ibadur Rehman, Ikramullah and Faiz Muhammed—to appear before by April 21; if the accused fail to comply with the notice, they would be declared absconders. The counsel of an accused Aitezaz Shah pleaded in the court that his client is minor, therefore his trial should be conduct in separation from the rest four. The counsel of another accused Sher Zaman requested the court to award bail to his client. The next hearing of the case would be conducted on April 21.
