Overseas Pakistanis remittances rise by 20.77 percent
KARACHI: Overseas Pakistanis remittances during the initial eight months of current fiscal year shot up by 20.77 percent. State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) spokesman Syed Wasimuddin told that the remittances of the overseas Pakistanis during July 2007 to February 2008 amounted to $4.12 billion as compared to $3.41 billion in the same period previous year. US, Britain, European Union, Saudi Arab and United Arab Emirates remained prominent among the countries relating to the remittances.
