Lawyers-police clash outside Judges Colony

ISLAMABAD: Lawyers and police clashed outside the Judges Colony and heavy tear gas was used by the police here on Sunday. According to Geo News, when a rally of lawyers and civil society representatives reached the Judges Colony some young lawyers tried to clear the way from barbed wires. On the police intervention, some hot words were exchanged between them and tear gas shelling was started from the police. On this occasion, Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan reached the Judges Colony and briefly addressed the gathering. He said that we have reached here today to salute chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry who showed us a beacon of light. On this occasion, the workers of Tehreek-e-Insaf raised slogans against the government.
