Kashmir Singh denies having spied for India

DELHI: Kashmir Singh, who was released after having served 35 years of imprisonment in Pakistan on spying charge, on his arrival here, denied having spied for India. Kashmir Singh in an Indian TV interview said that the media had presented his statement in a distorted manner. He said that he was arrested on spying charge in Pakistan, but, in fact, he had gone there for earning money and had taken an illegal way of reaching there. Earlier, the statement attributed to Kashmir Singh had said that he during his duty had entered Pakistan by crossing the border several times in the past and had spied for the Indian military intelligence in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran.
