PML-Q to deal with forward block people constitutionally: Elahi
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League Quaid-e-Azam Central Parliamentary leader Ch Pervaiz Elahi said his party would deal with people who made forward block in the party in constitutional manner. Talking to party’s woman wing’s delegation here on Thursday, he said his party has decided to take action against two Punjab MPAs-elect for violating the party discipline and changing loyalties besides Election Commission will be contacted to take necessary constitutional and legal action against them. He said the action would be taken against all such members who had been changing loyalties and violating party discipline so that democracy and democratic institutions could not be damaged. He said strict action would be taken within the party against all those members who were trying to change party loyalties. He said the PML legislators would fully cooperate for the continuity of the process of prosperity and development which was started by the PML in its five-year tenure. He asked the woman wing to stay united and play its effective role in the days to come, adding they had to play an exemplary role while staying in the opposition. He said the PML would keep a close eye on all the measures being taken by the government, and all anti-people steps would not be allowed at any cost. He said while staying in the opposition, the PML would keep an eye on all the promises made by the parties trying to form government with the people during their election campaign, especially of lowering down the prices of daily use items. He said now it was a duty of the ruling parties to lower down the prices of daily use items as were in 1996.
