Pakistan slams Israeli aggression

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Sunday condemned the continued Israeli military aggression against Palestinians on the besieged Gaza strip in which dozens of innocent people had been killed so far. “We condemn the Israeli attacks on Gaza and demand an end to the violence,” Foreign Office Spokesman Muhammad Sadiq told Daily Times on Sunday. He said the recent violence in Palestine would increase tension in the whole Middle East, as Palestine was central to complex issue of creating long term and permanent peace in the Arab region. Sadiq repeated Pakistan’s demand that various initiatives aimed at bringing peace in the Palestine and ending Arab-Israeli conflict should be activated. “The logical conclusion of all efforts should be to create a viable and independent state of Palestine,” he said. staff report
