Pak team not involved in match fixing: Nasim

Resigned Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Dr. Nasim Ashraf
has once again said that no official or player of Pakistan cricket
team was involved in the murder of coach Bob Woolmer.
He said that if some one speculates such news than he
is not only the enemy of Pakistan cricket but also the enemy of Pakistan.
While answering the questions of Senators at the meeting
of Senate Standing Committee on Sports here at the Parliament House
held under the chairmanship of Senator Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry, the PCB
Chairman said that if Jamaican Police want any player or official
in West Indies again, the legal committee of PCB and diplomats would
accompany them.
He told that two officials of PCB will remain with the
dead body of Bob Woolmer till its departure to South Africa.
He said that Bob Woolmer was murdered on duty and President
Musharraf by giving Sitara-e-Imtiaz to Woolmer was really a remarkable
move.
He said that Woolmer was just like a family member of
Pakistan cricket team and PCB would provide every assistance to Woolmer's
family.
I will personally attend the funeral of Bob Woolmer
in Cape Town, he added.
He dispelled the rumors that Pakistan cricket
team is involve in match fixing and said that if anybody has some
evidence he should come forward and we will investigate it with the
help of ICC.
