urges not to politicize judicial affair
RAWALPINDI:
President Pervez Musharraf said Tuesday that constitutional and judicial
affair should not be politicized; the people have rejected the opposition
protest.
Addressing a public gathering at Liaquat
Bagh here after laying the foundation stone of Lai Expressway, the president
said that we brought the actual democracy to Pakistan.
“There is an ocean of problems in
the country, but the problems cannot scare me,” Musharraf said
urging the people to join hands with the government to stop the extremism
in the country.
Gen Musharraf said that the defence and
development of the country are government’s duties and Pakistan,
at the moment, is as strong as it was never before, adding that country’s
economy is also stronger than it was ever before.
The president said that Lai Expressway
project will be completed in two years and the communication system
in the country is progressing.
On this occasion, the president announced
50 lakhs for each union council of Rawalpindi.
Prior to this, Railways Minister
Sheikh Rashid and Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi also addressed
the gathering.
