First Amritsar-to-Nankana bus reaches Wagah border
WAGAH: The first bus from Amritsar to Nankana Sahib reached Wagah border crossing Friday carrying 29 passengers including officials and Sikh leaders.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Ijaz-ul-Haq received the bus passengers at Wagah along with district nazim Lahore Mian Amir Mehmood and others.
Earlier, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh inaugurated the Amritsar-to-Nankana Sahib bus service.
The bus carrying several officials and Sikh leaders with other passengers. Hundreds of Sikh pilgrims arrive Nankana Sahib- birthplace of Baba Guru Nanak-every year.
