‘1973 Constitution and concurrent list can’t alleviate Balochistan grievances’
KHUZDAR: The 1973 Constitution and the concurrent legislature list cannot heal Balochistan’s wounds, Balochistan National Party (BNP) leader Sardar Akhtar Mengal said on Saturday. “We are ready for talks on Balochistan’s problems but the government will have to take confidence building measures first,” Mengal told a public meeting. He said that talks could not be held unless missing persons were recovered and arrested people freed. He also demanded the rehabilitation of internally displaced refugees. The meeting adopted a resolution calling for the cancellation of land allotments to non-locals and demanded the scrapping of the Gwadar port project. nni
