CJP constitutional petition hearing adjourns
till tomorrow
ISLAMABAD:
The 13-member full court of the Supreme Court has put off until tomorrow
the hearing of the constitutional petition of the Chief Justice of
Pakistan (CJP) against the presidential reference.
CJP lead counsel, Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan continuing his
arguments even today (Monday) told that the law relating to sending
the judges on forced leave has passed its days. He said that the efforts
were made to take the resignation from the CJP on March 9, which on
failing; the reference was filed against him.
The 13-member full court headed by Justice Khalilur
Rahman Ramday, comprises of Justice Muhammad Nawaz Abbasi, Justice
Faqir Muhammad Khokhar, Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan, Justice M Javed
Buttar, Justice Tassadduq Hussain Jillani, Justice Saiyed Saeed Ashhad,
Justice Nasirul Mulk, Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmed, Justice Ch Ijaz Ahmed,
Justice Syed Jamshed Ali, Justice Hamid Ali Mirza and Justice Ghulam
Rabbani.
