Lawyers’ vow drive against pro-Musharraf parties
LAHORE: The representatives of lawyers announced that lawyers would launch a drive against all those political parties including Peoples Party who would make deal with President Musharraf.
Secretary Supreme Court Bar Zulfikhar Bukhari , former President High Court Bar Ahmad Owais, executive member Supreme Court Bar Khawaja Shoail, Muhammad Azhar and others in a press conference said that lawyers movement at first stage would liberate the judiciary and than complete the mission of restoration of real democracy and constitution in the country.
They announced that a warm welcome would be given to chief justice on his arrival in Lahore on June 23. Justice would than leave for Multan.
The lawyers also condemned the attack at the house of chief justice nephew, knighthood for Rushdi and document theft from Ahmad Owais office.
