Opposition boycott NA on reference against Imran
ISLAMABAD: The combined opposition boycotted the National Assembly in protest against sending references on Imran Khan to the National Election Commission.
Mahmud Khan Achakzai of Pakhtoon Khah Milli Awami Party said on a point of order that a reference, based on a 16-year-old case, against a respected member of the parliament has been sent to the Election Commission and he is staging walk-out and boycott the session of the National Assembly in protest.
Liaquat Baloch said that Imran Khan is being made target for political vengeance.
Khwaja Asif said that the opposition had filed many references against Chaudhry Shuja’at and Shaukat Aziz but no action was taken on them.
The opposition members raised slogans in the house against MQM and the government and boycotted the session.
