Building mosques on illegally occupied land
unlawful: Islamic Ideology Council
ISLAMABAD:
Chairman, Council of Islamic Ideology, Dr. Khalid Masood has said
construction of mosques on illegally occupied land is unlawful.
Addressing a press conference here Dr. Masood said that
the three-year tenure of current members of the Council would be concluded
tomorrow.
The Council of Islamic Ideology has recommended the
prime minister for constitution of a standing body that works for
legislation on the recommendations of the council, he said.
He called construction of mosques on illegally occupied
land unlawful.
The CII chairman said that presently the ministry of
law has been working on a piece of blasphemy legislation but the council
can give its opinion on the text when it will receive the copy of
the legislation.
Replying a question he termed the human organs
trade against teachings of Islam.
