High alert security for VIPs in Islamabad
LAHORE:
After the killing of Abdullah Mahsud, the law-enforcing agencies have
been directed to high alert in Islamabad.
The interior ministry of Punjab had issued a warning
a few days before that seven suicide bombers of Baitullah Mahsud Group
had entered Islamabad.
In a circular issued by Secretary Interior Ministry
Punjab Khusro Pervez to high police officials and heads of other law-enforcing
agencies, it was said that seven suicide bombers of Baitullah Mahsud
Group entered Islamabad to target the government officials and important
installations. These persons already lived in Islamabad and know about
all the important buildings and offices of the city.
It was directed in the circular that considering the
recent suicide attacks in various areas of the country, all strict
security measures must be adopted in Islamabad.
According to the sources, due to any possible reaction
after the killing of Abdullah Mahsud security high alerted for the
important personalities and offices in Punjab.
