KARACHI: Unannounced loadshedding and long breakdowns continue in Karachi, die to which the citizens are facing much difficulties in the hot weather.
Electricity supply from Korangi Thermel Power Station could not be restored even after two days. It may be recalled that the Korangi power station supplies 150 mw electricity.
Power crisis in the city is so intense that the supply is discontinued for two to two and half hours after every two to three hours.
On the other hand, midnight loadshedding continues in various parts of the city. Between Monday and Tuesday also, people spent the night sleepless due to long breakdowns in various areas including Defence, Baldia, Alexander Road, North Nazimabad, North Karachi, Malir, Malir Cantt. and Model Colony.
According to KESC sources, power transformers of various grid stations are getting off at 12 O’clock in the night.
It may be recalled that the high officials including the governor directed the KESC not to make load shedding in residential areas after 12 O’clock in the night.
