Nawaz concerned over BB-govt contacts
LAHORE: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has
expressed concern over Pakistan People’s Party Chairwoman Benazir
Bhutto’s contacts with the government. Talking to Geo news on
Saturday, Sharif expressed anxiety over Musharraf-Benazir contacts,
saying such contacts would be a setback for democratic forces in Pakistan.
He said Bhutto had signed the Charter of Democracy, which barred her
from developing any contact with the government. He called CJP’s
restoration as a “milestone” in the country’s judicial
history. The SC has thrown out its own invention, “the doctrine
of necessity,” Sharif said. daily times monitor
