No problem in resigning from the assemblies:
Fazlur Rahman
DERA:
National Assembly opposition leader, Maulana Fazlur Rahman has said
that there was no problem in resigning from the assemblies instead
the situation in the country emanating from it was a major problem.
He told this to a representative delegation of the press
club here, which had called on him on Saturday.
Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that the resignations from
the assemblies was tied to the Protection of Women Rights Bill, which
if not taken back despite resignations, then the MMA would be left
with the only option of holding back this Bill by force that might
culminate into a turbulent situation in the country.
He told that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI)’s Majlis-e-Shoora
meeting has been called in Islamabad on December 5 for taking a decision
relating to the safeguarding of its ideology in tandem with the better
future of the country and the nation, while the decision regarding
the resignations from assemblies including other matters would be
taken by the MMA parliamentary party on December 7.
Maulana Fazlur Rahman told that he was ready to
repose trust in those ulema-e-karam irrespective of the sect they
belong to, who were employed at the time of Islamic Ideology Council’s
reconstitution.
