US Insurance Group to play role in Pakistan’s economic growth
ISLAMABAD, Dec 14: New Hampshire Insurance Company
(NHIC), a member company of American International Group, Inc, (AIG)
is committed to fully participate in the economic growth of Pakistan,
a senior official of the company has said.
Speaking to the journalists on his arrival in Islamabad on Tuesday,
the Country Manager Iqbal Siddiqi said the NHIC, a member company
of AIG, the largest foreign insurer in Pakistan, keeps an edge over
other companies.
AIG is represented in Pakistan by two of its member companies. New
Hampshire Insurance Services for over 50 years and American Life Insurance
Company Pakistan, ALICO, offering life insurance products.
"It offers insurance for wide range of products, including automobile
insurance, property, marine and workman insurance, personal accident
and homeowners insurance as well as travel and product liability insurance."
New Hampshire Insurance Company will continue to play its role as
a leading insurance company in the economic progress of the country
with its heavy capital and wider field network.
AIG's assets, Iqbal said are about $650 billion and it has over 40,000
employees in 130 countries.
AIG is the leading US based international insurance and financial
services organization and the largest underwriter of commercial and
industrial insurance in the US.
