Unconstitutional
president cannot restore Sharif’s sentence: Tarar
MULTAN:
Former President Rafique Tarar has said Sunday that he had pardoned
sentences of Mian Nawaz Sharif as a constitutional head of state, how
can an unconstitutional president revive the same.
Tarar was talking to newsmen in Multan
after condoling with Makhdoom Javed Hashmi on the death of his brother.
He said according to the law pardoned
sentences could not be revived. He said now the judiciary is free, so
any talk about revival of the sentences will be called idiotic.
Commenting on statement of the Attorney
General that violation of a deal by a party cancels an agreement, Tarar
said a piece of paper was produced before the court as an agreement,
which was a single party document.
Rafique Tarar said that Nawaz Sharif
and Shahbaz Sharif should return back home soon, adding that the central
executive committee of Muslim League (N) has also advised them to return
back by September 10.
