FO rejects Indian allegations of cross-border terrorism
Islamabad:
Pakistani foreign ministry spokeswoman, Tasneem Aslam, on Tuesday
rejected Indian allegation of cross-border terrorism.
Aslam told a press briefing in Islamabad that Pakistan
was committed to fighting terrorism and to the peace process with
India.
She said the process requires sincerity and commitment
by both sides to resolve the issues that have caused tension in the
region, adding that to allow terrorism to undermine this process would
be "very, very unfortunate."
"Pakistan cannot cooperate with a country
that is in the habit of making baseless allegations and a history
of not cooperating with it," she said, referring to Indian Prime
Minister Singh's assertion after the Mumbai blasts that the terrorists
had support of elements "across the border."
