Pakistan to ensure teachers elevated

Islamabad:
Pakistani government is committed to ensure teachers dignity and elevated
status, a minister said Thursday.
Efforts are being made to provide respectable status to
teachers through various incentives, as teachers played crucial role
in grooming students for modern challenges, said Pakistani Minister
for Education Javed Ashraf Qazi at an educational gathering "Education
For All Week".
Institutions and experts concerned are reviewing the syllabus
to make it more responsive to challenges faced by nowadays' educators
and students, the minister said while stressing the need of providing
quality education.
The "Education For All Week", with a theme
of ""Every Child Needs a Teacher" , started from April
24 in Islamabad and was organized by Pakistani ministry of education
in collaboration with the United States educational affairs-concerned
body UNESCO.
